How to Use Basic Merging

Upload PDFs: Click the upload area or drag and drop your PDF files. You can select multiple files at once. Reorder Files: The files will be merged in the order they appear. Drag and drop to reorder them if needed. Customize Output: Enter a custom filename for your merged PDF (optional). The .pdf extension will be added automatically. Merge: Click the "Merge PDFs" button to start the merging process. Download: Once complete, click the download button to save your merged PDF.

Bulk Processing (Pro) For users with Pro accounts, bulk processing allows you to merge multiple sets of PDFs using a CSV file:

Prepare CSV: Create a CSV file with columns for file paths and output filename Upload CSV: Drag and drop your CSV file or click to browse Process Batch: Click "Process Batch" to merge all PDF sets Download Results: Download results as CSV or JSON

A: Free users can merge up to 5 PDF files at once. Pro users (Basic, Gold, or Ultimate tiers) can merge up to 20 PDF files in a single operation. Q: What is the maximum file size for each PDF? A: Each individual PDF file can be up to 10 MB. If you need to merge larger files, consider upgrading to a Pro account or compressing your PDFs first. Q: Can I reorder the files before merging? A: Yes! Simply drag and drop the files in the upload list to reorder them. The PDFs will be merged in the exact order they appear in the list. Q: Are my files stored on your servers? A: Files are temporarily stored during processing for security and quality purposes. All files are automatically deleted from our servers after 24 hours. Pro users with history enabled can access their merged files for 30 days. Q: What happens to the original PDFs after merging? A: Your original PDF files are not modified in any way. The merge operation creates a new PDF file containing all pages from the input files. Your originals remain unchanged. Q: Can I add page numbers to the merged PDF? A: Yes! This is a Pro feature. Enable the "Add Page Numbers" option before merging, and sequential page numbers will be added to your merged document. Q: Does the tool preserve PDF bookmarks and links? A: Basic merging preserves most PDF content, but some interactive elements may not transfer perfectly. Pro users can enable the "Add Bookmarks" feature to create new bookmarks for each source document. Q: How long does it take to merge PDFs? A: Most merges complete in just a few seconds, depending on the size and number of files. Processing time is shown after completion. Pro users get priority processing for faster results. Q: Can I merge password-protected PDFs? A: Currently, password-protected PDFs cannot be merged. Troubleshooting "Daily limit reached" error

Free users: You've reached your daily limit of 5 merges. Sign in or upgrade for more access. Solution: Wait until tomorrow or upgrade to a Pro plan for unlimited merges.

"File must be PDF format" error

Cause: You uploaded a file that is not a valid PDF Solution: Ensure all files have the .pdf extension and are valid PDF documents

"At least 2 PDF files required" error

Cause: You attempted to merge with fewer than 2 files Solution: Select at least 2 PDF files to merge together

"Each PDF must be under 10 MB" error

Cause: One or more of your PDF files exceeds the size limit Solution: Compress your PDFs or split large files before merging

Merge failed or slow processing

Possible causes: Large files, corrupted PDFs, or server load Solutions:

Try with smaller files first Ensure PDFs are not corrupted Pro users get priority processing

Cannot download merged PDF

Cause: Browser blocking download or file was deleted Solution:

Check browser download settings Try a different browser Files are kept for 24 hours (30 days for Pro with history)
